In order to protect the health of our staff and to prevent any negative impact to the critical services we provide to our clients, we have introduced the following measures to reduce the risks of being infected by the Corona Virus SARS-CoV-2 a new strain of the Coronaviruses (CoV) family of viruses. 

These measures include but are not limited to the following:
GHS will not attend any trade fairs, seminars, and exhibitions and we will avoid unnecessary travel to countries or areas affected by the Corona Virus.

Employees are urged to carry out the following recommendations to prevent infection and spread of the virus:

• Carry tissues at all times and use them to cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze. If a tissue isn’t available, cough or sneeze into your elbow rather than your hands.
• Wash your hands frequently and properly. The WHO recommended handwashing with hot water and soap. If you can’t wash your hands, use a hand sanitiser containing at least 60% alcohol and wash your hands at the earliest opportunity.
• Avoid touching your face, especially your mouth, eyes, and nose, with hands that haven’t been washed.
• Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing.
• Immediately report to a healthcare professional if you develop a fever and symptoms of respiratory illness, such as cough or difficulty breathing, and have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or if you live in or have recently traveled to an area with an ongoing spread.
  

Global Helicopter Services is pleased to announce the approval of a new Part-145 – Maintenance Line Station facility, in Bamako Mali.

 This new facility is part of GHS expansion into African Markets and provides the company with a base from which to service the East African region in all aviation services.
The base within the Bamako Senou International Airport provides first-world facilities, which include multiple, permanent, purpose-made hangars, an inter-base operations center and a hotel and canteen. 

Within the Line Station hangar, there is a defined, well-established and a well-equipped maintenance bay, adequate storage room for tools and parts all environmentally controlled and secure.

GHS has all of the required ground support equipment and the hangar is equipped with flood lights facilitating maintenance and ground operations at night.

Global Helicopter Service (GHS) is excited about being awarded a unique helicopter service contract by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to provide passenger and cargo flights for ICRC personnel in the North Eastern State of Borno in Nigeria.

The contract commenced in March 2019 and includes standby services utilizing the Bell 412 for immediate tasking to meet their requirements in the region. GHS are proud to be selected by the ICRC who have put their trust in the company to provide these services. GHS are extremely confident that with the experience gained in providing similar services to other humanitarian organisations in the region over the last 3.5 years that it can deliver a robust, safe, cost effective and fit for purpose service on a long-term basis.

October 10^th was another exciting milestone accomplished for GHS, after countless hours put in by our flight ops team we achieved a lasting desired goal to become a certified Helicopter Hoist Operator (HHO). With over 250 practical hoist cycles in a sequence of over three days, we achieved the last requirement for the approval certificate. Amongst this training, we qualified three of our highly trained Type Rating Instructors (TRI) and Examiners (TRE) for further company internal HHO training. As well for this hoist training, a well experienced and highly qualified Hoist-Operator-Instructor joined the GHS team to train further hoist operators to outstanding standards. With the accepted HHO approval, GHS will heavily focus on additional segments in which we can further assist our clients.
