SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY
State of the art safety management
We constantly strive to champion the highest standards of safety and operational integrity through an entrenched and consistent safety culture throughout our company. Everyone at GHS is motivated and encouraged to promote a safe and healthy working environment and a positive safety culture.
Safety doesn’t end with creating a safe and healthy working environment and we also focus on continually improving our safety management and compliance by involving our employees, implementing the IQSMS quality management system that sets out an all-inclusive framework for how our employees manage and control safety-critical activities.
Further evidence of our commitment to the highest levels of safety, efficiency and quality, is the ISO 9001:2015 certification of the GHS Quality Management System for Commercial Helicopter Operations and related Maintenance Tasks and Airworthiness Management.
Our commitment to safety goes beyond just meeting regulatory compliance standards and simply reducing risk. All of our flying activities, including helicopter maintenance and pilot training undergo accountability risk assessments. Our well-structured and detailed documented data base of our operational history forms the basis for comprehensive and results-orientated safety performance measurements, from which we actively implement procedures, practices and policies that systematically improves our safety management.
INTEGRATED QUALITY AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Global Helicopter Service has implemented an IQSMS (Integrated Quality and Safety Management System) that is a web based safety, quality and risk management system based on and in compliance with ICAO Doc. 9859 (ICAO Safety Management Manual). IQSMS has been developed by Safety and Quality Management experts with many years of experience in the aviation industry. Special focus is given to user friendliness and compliance with applicable regulations. Our integrated system consists of 5 modules, which cover the following areas:
- Safety management
- Quality management
- Risk management
- Flight risk assessment
- CBT (Computer Based Training) on safety
